Halloween Craft Idea : Witch Hat Decorating Contest For Tinley Park Kids
Something different from the Village: a witch’s ? hating decorating contest for kids of Tinley Park residents.
The Village of Tinley Park is hosting a witch hat decorating contest during this spooky season. Families are encouraged to pick up a hat at the Tinley Park Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., or at the Tinley Park Police Station, 7850 W. 183rd St., starting Thursday, September 23. Ninety hats will be available, on a first-come, first-served basis, and an adult must fill out the registration form at the time of pick-up.
Simply decorate the hat as creatively as possible, using your own materials, and return it (with the included contact form attached to the hat) to Village Hall or police station by Thursday, Oct. 14. A judging panel from the Tinley Park Marketing Commission will choose 13 winners. Winners will be announced no later than Oct. 22. Winning hats will be on display at the Oak Park Ave Haunted Train Station during the Downtown Tinley Boo Bash on Oct. 24 and will remain there through Halloween. Winning witches and warlocks will take home a bag of sweet treats to use in their next potion.
