Seven Years Later, Another Memory
During our very first visit in 2019, I photographed my daughter in a tree when she was just a year old.
This time, we didn’t attempt to recreate that particular photograph. She’s grown quite a bit since then!
Instead, we took the obligatory fall family photo in front of the pumpkin house, not far from that original memory spot.
And I couldn’t help thinking about how much has changed in seven years.
Back then, I was introducing a one-year-old to the sights and sounds of fall on a farm. Now, we’re navigating corn mazes together, discovering new treats, and deciding which adventures to tackle next.
The activities may change, and the children certainly grow, but there’s something wonderful about having places you can return to throughout the different stages of family life.
Places that become part of your story.
One Last Gift from the Harvest
As we headed home, the evening had one more surprise in store for us: the Harvest Moon.
We spotted it rising over the countryside and couldn’t resist pulling over beside a neighboring farm east of Konow’s to take a few photographs.
After an afternoon spent celebrating everything we love about fall, there was something especially fitting about ending our day beneath a Harvest Moon.
No admission ticket, no planned activity. Just the two of us, a country road, and a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best memories happen when you least expect them.
And somehow, that felt like the perfect ending to our day at Konow’s.
When You Konow, You Know
We Midwesterners are spoiled for choice when it comes to fall farms and seasonal attractions. But finding a place that consistently delivers quality, care, and a reason to return is something special.
Seven years after our first visit, Konow’s continues to be one of those places for us.
We came home with a pumpkin, a few stray kernels of corn, photographs of the Harvest Moon, and another chapter in our family’s fall traditions.
And we’re already looking forward to the next one.
When you Konow, you know.
