About Marley Park

Marley Creek Park, or Marley Park as it’s also called, is quite a hidden gem. I love the bridge that leads you to the park if you’re coming from the north, off of 187th. And our daughter has officially proclaimed this park her’s. That I think is a big compliment for a park. ? We’ve gone 2 days in a row already!

Located in the Marley Creek subdivision (the homes are beautiful, I could totally see my family living in this neighborhood), this a 5.5 acre park site includes the following amenities:

  • a baseball/softball field
  • a basketball court
  • a walking path with exercise stations
  • park benches
  • a lovely gazebo
  • a playground suitable for ages 2-12

There is a nice donut shaped parking lot with plenty of spots. And though the porta potty is much appreciated given that it’s not one of the more common features at a park, Mokena Park District might want to tend to that one a little more.

Click on any of the photos below to get a good look at the park if you’re considering going.

Recently updated, the playground is enchanting. They’ve got a dragonfly seesaw, mushroom picnic table area (as you can see above—my daughter loved that), rock climbing, everything! The playground kind of reminds me of what a life-sized version of the Disney movie A Bug’s Life setting.

Favorite parts: I don’t know what to say, but this is definitely a really awesome place to be. Idyllic and fun are the keywords for this park.
