Mother’s Day Brunch at Vinny’s Clam Bar in Tinley Park, Chicago Suburbs
If you missed Vinny’s Clam Bar’s first ever Mother’s Day Brunch yesterday, here’s what you missed so you remember to make a reservation for their next special occassion dining experience.
Back in mid April I got a sneak peak of the Mother’s Day Brunch menu via Vinny’s PR firm to share with my followers and subscribers, with a first copy of the special menu their Executive Chef Peter DeRuvo crafted for the ocassion on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Reservations were available to make online via the Vinny’s OpenTable page.
My in-laws enjoyed the Brioche French Toast (which they generously shared with me—should’ve ordered it!) and the Sinatra’s Four Cheese Omelette.
My husband enjoyed the Steak & Eggs while I enjoyed the Avocado Toast with Vinny’s Potatoes. Our daughter partook of the chicken tenders and french fries.
The only negative from our family experience was no bellinis, but if you take a peek at Vinny’s Clam Bar’s comprehensive menu, they have many cocktails that will more than make up for it. For example, the Lavender Love Affair, which is comprised of letherbee lavender & almond gin, ume plum liqueur, falernum liqueur, cranberry & pomegranate syrup, lemon and lemon bitters.
Since Vinny’s is part of the Scott Harris Hospitality collection of concept restaurants, you can enjoy haut cuisine at reasonable prices for all your different cravings year round. There’s Vasili’s Mediterranean (Naperville), Davanti Enoteca (Naperville, Western Springs, Lincoln Wood), Francesca’s (Barrington, Oak Lawn, Palos Park, Frankfort), Mio Modo (St. Charles)—the list goes on.
On a personal note, I noticed one of the plates on their wall is from one of the dish sets my mom picked out for my family’s household. I had taken my parents out for an early Mother’s Day lunch earlier since they live about an hour away, and of course I was thinking of my mom when it was official Mother’s Day. Seeing that vintage 1990s/2000s plate above our table among the sea of various white and blue floral plates that adorn the cleverly decorated walls of the restaurant was very surreal. Now you’ve got me wondering where you found that plate Meghan McDougall (the interior designer).
Vinny’s In A Conch Shell (…Or Nutshell)
ICYMI, check out my in depth article about Vinny’s back when I was asked to attend their ribbon cutting last August.
As a local Tinley Park resident, whose been following the food scene closely since I started this blog and seriously became interested in our young family’s hometown, the Scott Harris promise of swimmingly good times and delicious dishes and sips at Vinny’s have been kept and then some!
With Father’s Day less than a month away, keep your eyes on Vinny’s social profiles or my own, to get a sneak peek at that special menu. Their Mother’s Day menu delivered, and I think we can come to expect the same level of yum in June 16, 2024.
